Kelly and her husband Gary became clients of ACVH in 1999 when they rescued a wolf hybrid that had been neglected and, worse, badly abused. Spirit was saved and moved on to a great life. They currently have 1 dog, 4 cats, 1 26+ year old snapping turtle, 1 pot belly pig and one ½ pot belly / ½ wild boar at their house! At their office they have 3 feral-turned-house cats and 5-7 feral cats they care for (if you were a stray, you would find them too!). Kelly began working at ACVH in 2009.
Sharon Dixon MA, ESMT, CCHT, Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Psychology
Sharon was raised in a ranching family in Northern California and Southwest Montana. The family raised Arabian horses and preserve ancient Arabian bloodlines for the future. Today Sharon still breeds Arabian horses.
Sharon retired from the Nevada State Health Division as an Analyst. The retirement was short lived as Sharon became interested in massage and was later certified as an Equine/Canine Massage Therapist. Sharon was then certified a Reiki Master and uses it in conjunction with massage. She recently earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health. Sharon is married and shares her life with grandchildren, horses, dogs, squirrels, chickens, turkeys and any other animal that happens along on her farm. Sharon considers it a blessing to work with the animals at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital.
Kennel Technician Debbie is a fourth generation Nevadan, having lived in Reno all of her life. She spent a number of years working in the medical field, primarily in gastroenterology. Debbie raised four children in a house full of creatures of all kinds. Animals have always held a very special place in her heart, and she hopes to make the animals of our clients at All Creatures feel loved and welcomed.
Groomer Mindy is a California native. She discovered her love of animals early on in life. Her mother worked at Lion Country Safari during much of her childhood. “The great thing about growing up like that is you learn early on how deep animals enrich your life.” She has practiced her trade for well over a decade. You can routinely see her expert grooming in dog shows around the country and in the homes and yards of her loyal clientele. She is a groomer by trade, but truly an animal lover at heart.
